The Opportunity
A leading global technology solutions and services provider is seeking a Business Development Executive to accelerate growth across its Microsoft Security portfolio in Malaysia. The role will engage enterprise customers to understand their cybersecurity, compliance and risk-management priorities, then work with internal specialists and technology partners to develop and close opportunities that deliver measurable business value.
This is an opportunity to combine consultative enterprise selling with a strong understanding of Microsoft Security solutions, helping organizations strengthen their security posture and advance their digital-transformation agenda.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the full sales lifecycle for security opportunities, from prospecting and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and deal closure.
- Build trusted relationships with enterprise customers and identify needs relating to cybersecurity, compliance, identity, data protection and risk management.
- Position Microsoft Security solutions, including Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud and Microsoft 365; Microsoft Sentinel; Microsoft Purview; and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Work closely with account managers, solution architects, delivery teams and Microsoft field teams to develop customer-engagement and co-selling strategies.
- Partner with pre-sales and delivery specialists to shape proposals, solution designs, commercial models and pricing.
- Drive joint go-to-market initiatives with Microsoft, including customer workshops, events, campaigns and opportunity-development activities.
- Collaborate with adjacent cloud, data and AI, and modern-work practices to develop integrated Microsoft solutions for customers.
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, progress opportunities effectively and contribute to the achievement of revenue and growth targets.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in enterprise technology sales, preferably within cybersecurity, cloud security, managed services or systems integration.
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Security portfolio and Zero Trust principles.
- Exposure to cybersecurity, compliance, identity, data-governance and/or risk-management transformation initiatives.
- Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business outcomes and executive-level value propositions.
- Demonstrated capability in developing new business, managing complex stakeholders and closing enterprise opportunities.
- Experience working with Microsoft field teams, channel partners or the broader Microsoft ecosystem would be advantageous.
- Strong communication, collaboration and presentation skills, with a consultative and customer-focused approach.
- A commitment to continuous learning and the ability to work effectively across commercial and technical teams.
