We are looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our ‘engineering-only’ security team. Working as a collaborative, cross-functional team, our engineers share responsibilities across SOC, GRC, and Architecture. We prioritise reducing manual effort through automation, sophisticated tooling, and scalable engineering.
Reporting directly to the CISO, you will be central to protecting our trading platforms, client data, and global operations. This is a role for a builder, someone who wants to design and implement security controls that support innovation and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and improve security capabilities across cloud, corporate, and identity environments.
- Deliver security tooling, automations, and engineering improvements that reduce manual effort and improve scale.
- Contribute to security operations, including incident response, investigations, detection engineering, alert tuning, and operational uplift.
- Strengthen cloud and corporate security controls across endpoints, SaaS, networks, and business systems.
- Improve identity and access controls across users, systems, and privileged access.
- Support shared security responsibilities across GRC, security operations, and general security support to the business.
- Partner with stakeholders across engineering and the wider business to deliver practical, effective security outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a senior security role within a modern enterprise, with hands-on skills in building security tooling and automations.
- Comfortable in development environments using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and controlled release practices.
- Strong experience securing corporate technology environments, including endpoints, productivity platforms (particularly Google Workspace), SaaS applications, device management, corporate networks, wireless, and third party application security.
- Demonstrated experience in incident response, alert tuning, and the use of SIEM/XDR/SOAR tooling (Sentinel and Defender experience is a major plus).
- Strong judgement, autonomy, and bias for action, with the ability to work effectively in ambiguity and build trusted, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the business.
- Ideally, you have worked within financial services, fintech, or other regulated trading environments.
