We are a comprehensive research, land-grant university excelling in teaching, research and public service. Our main campus sits on 900 acres in Las Cruces, where we welcome more than 14,000 students from across the U.S. and 89 foreign countries. As New Mexico's land-grant and a Carnegie R1 institution, we're dedicated to serving the diverse needs of our state through education, research, extension and outreach at all levels.
We're a NASA Space Grant College, a Hispanic-Serving Institution, and home to the very first Honors College in New Mexico. Our community extends far beyond Las Cruces - we have four campuses, a satellite learning center in Albuquerque, cooperative extension offices in all 33 counties, and 12 agriculture research and science centers throughout the state. We offer 180+ degree programs and maintain a 13:1 student-to-faculty ratio, ensuring our students get the personal attention they need to succeed.
