The Cybersecurity Pre-Sales Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise and solution support to the sales team. This role acts as a bridge between customers, sales, and technical teams by designing, presenting, and implementing cybersecurity solutions that meet business and security requirements.
The position requires strong technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and the ability to translate complex cybersecurity concepts into practical business solutions.
Requirements
Provide pre-sales technical support to the sales team for cybersecurity solutions and services.
Conduct solution presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts (POC) for customers.
Analyse customer requirements and design suitable cybersecurity architectures.
Prepare technical proposals, solution documentation, and tender responses.
Support sales activities including client meetings, technical discussions, and solution briefings.
Work closely with internal technical, delivery, and product teams to ensure solution feasibility.
Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, threats, and emerging technologies.
Assist in project handover from pre-sales to implementation teams.
Provide technical consultation to customers on security best practices.
Support post-sales activities when required for solution clarification and optimisations
Educational & Professional Background
Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
Professional certifications (preferred but not mandatory), such as:
CEH, CISSP, CISM, CCNA Security
Fortinet / Palo Alto / Check Point / Cisco certifications
Technical Skills
Strong understanding of:
Network security
Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS
Endpoint security
Cloud security
SIEM / SOC solutions
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and compliance standards.
Ability to design and propose integrated security solutions.
Soft Skills
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Customer-oriented and solution-driven mindset.
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to work on-site in Puchong.
Able to attend face-to-face interviews.
Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred.
