On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer, who will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of systems and networks. This role involves implementing security measures, monitoring threats, conducting risk assessments, and responding to incidents. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and standards
- Implement security controls and monitor systems for threats
- Lead security awareness programs and training
- Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and manage remediation
- Perform risk assessments and report on security posture
- Ensure compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, NIS2, PCIDSS)
- Manage security incidents and investigations
- Collaborate on secure design for new initiatives
- Research emerging threats and technologies
Requirements:
- Degree in IT or related field; security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA) preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in cybersecurity
- Knowledge of ISO 27001, GDPR, NIS2, PCIDSS
- Hands-on experience with IDS/IPS, SIEM, WAF, endpoint protection
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Valid EU driving license
