Help us create a better future, quicker

Help us shape a better future, faster. We’re looking for a Senior Security Operations Analyst to play a key role within our Cyber Fusion Centre, with a strong focus on Threat Intelligence. You’ll join a collaborative global function responsible for areas including Vulnerability Management, Incident Response, Event Monitoring, Security Device Configuration, Security Testing, Digital Forensics, Threat Hunting and Threat Reporting.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you’ll work closely with both Local and Global Security teams, taking ownership of identifying threats and driving effective remediation across ScottishPower. You’ll help design and embed new processes that strengthen the delivery and long‑term success of ScottishPower’s UK Threat Intelligence programme, while managing day‑to‑day intelligence activities such as monitoring and maintaining a detailed understanding of the threat landscape, as it pertains to ScottishPower, analysing emerging trends and producing clear, insightful threat briefs. Working alongside both IT and OT security functions, you’ll help ensure the effective delivery and distribution of intelligence products across the business.

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced threat intelligence practitioner, someone with significant experience coordinating threat intelligence in a complex organisation, ideally with global exposure. You’ll bring strong specialist knowledge backed by relevant industry qualifications and a background in researching threats, understanding adversary behaviours and translating intelligence into meaningful insights for senior stakeholders. Experience working with a range of internal and external partners is essential, along with an understanding of key legislation and the challenges associated with OT Security.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you’ll have a solid grounding in threat intelligence, experience in threat intelligence tools and platforms, and the ability to stay ahead of emerging trends. You’ll demonstrate strong reporting skills, an understanding of threat actors and frameworks, and the capability to triage and respond to intelligence alerts with accuracy and impact. You’ll use our priority intelligence requirements to identify and distribute intelligence of interest to stakeholders.

Strong communication skills are vital, as you’ll engage with stakeholders at all levels and build long‑lasting relationships across teams and regions. You’ll be confident analysing complex issues, offering clear recommendations and presenting technical information in a way that’s accessible to non‑technical audiences. A proactive approach, collaborative mindset and commitment to high‑quality delivery will be key to your success.

If you’re ready to make a meaningful impact in a role where your expertise helps protect critical infrastructure and supports a secure energy future, we’d love to hear from you.

    What’s in it for you

As well as a competitive salary which is reviewed annually, you can also enjoy a number of other benefits. With our pension scheme, we’ll double match your contribution up to a company contribution of 10%.
