The opportunity:

We are looking for a leader driven by a passion for high performance, collaboration and fostering strong relationships with employees across the business. Our culture thrives on our Real values - Respect, Energy & Effort, Attitude and Leadership. Our employees live by these values through the work they do, every day, as one team.

As the Group IT Cybersecurity Technology & Operations Manager, you will ensure that Fulton Hogan's suite of security platforms and technologies are fit for purpose and integrated to protect the company from cyber risks. You will manage relationships with cybersecurity partners and vendors, oversee the integration and operations of key security platforms, lead our Security Operations Team and contribute to the continuous improvement of our cyber recovery capabilities.

  • Oversee the integration and operations of key security platforms such as SOC & SIEM Services, End Point Protection, Email & Web Secure Gateways, Network & Vulnerability Scanning, Threat intelligence and Next Generation Firewalls.
  • Regularly review and recommend improvements to security platforms, technologies, and services.
  • Ensure cyber security service providers meet required levels of coverage and respond to threats and incidents within agreed SLAs.
  • Organise penetration testing and co-ordinate any remediation actions.
  • Contribute to cyber risk assessments and incident management.
  • Participate in regular cyber security incident desktop exercises.

  • Excellent communication skills across all operational levels and with suppliers and stakeholders.
  • A demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ASD E8, ISO 27002) is desirable.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, ethical behaviour, and respect for others.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to think ahead.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities.

You will be a supportive and collaborative leader with a passion for developing and growing talent. You will have strong financial and business acumen.

Creating, Connecting and caring for the community

Our people regularly donate their time to local causes and initiatives, while at a regional and national level we provide financial support, skills and resources to a wide range of organisations that are strengthening our communities. Our focus aims to also reduce our impact on the environment, and regenerate healthy new ecosystems. We look to partner with others to lift the standards of our industry and show customers lower-impact, sustainable ways of delivering infrastructure.

Candidates must have legal rights to work in New Zealand.
