Brisbane CBD | 12-month Contract
We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Engineer to join a major organisation and deliver a range of Cyber Security uplift initiatives and projects.
This is a hands-on engineering role requiring experience across the full technical delivery lifecycle: discovery, design and build
You will work across Microsoft security technologies, SIEM/logging, MFA, Essential Eight uplift and hybrid infrastructure environments, while working closely with technical teams and stakeholders to deliver approved security solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and build of Cyber Security uplift initiatives.
- Undertake technical discovery, identify security gaps and develop appropriate solutions.
- Design, configure and implement Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) across legacy applications and systems.
- Redesign and optimise existing Microsoft Sentinel/SIEM environments.
- Expand logging and monitoring across systems and services, including onboarding data sources into Sentinel.
- Deliver Essential Eight uplift and remediation activities.
- Support Microsoft 365 and Azure security initiatives.
- Work across cloud, on-premises and hybrid environments .
- Support technical decommissioning, Business Continuity, High Availability and Backup uplift initiatives.
- Prepare technical documentation, procedures and implementation plans.
- Coordinate technical resources and cross-functional teams to deliver project outcomes.
- Identify technical risks, dependencies and gaps and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Work closely with infrastructure, application and security teams to deliver technical changes through to completion.
