We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Manager to lead cyber security operations and compliance activities across our Australian business. Reporting to the UK-based VP Global Cyber Security Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining a strong security posture, managing operational security risks, and supporting customer and regulatory security requirements.

This is a hands‑on leadership role that combines security operations, governance, risk management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement within a cloud‑based SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day‑to‑day cyber security operations, including incident response, threat monitoring, vulnerability management, and security investigations
  • Manage relationships with external security providers and support effective security monitoring and response processes
  • Oversee vulnerability management activities and drive remediation efforts across business systems and products
  • Manage and optimise web application firewall (WAF) capabilities and application security processes
  • Support compliance with security frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
  • Maintain security policies, controls, and risk management processes
  • Lead security input for customer assurance activities, tenders, security questionnaires, and third‑party assessments
  • Partner with technical and business teams to embed security best practices across operations and product development
  • Lead, coach, and develop a small cyber security team

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience in cyber security operations, security leadership, or a similar role within a SaaS, cloud, or regulated environment
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability management, incident response, cloud security, and security monitoring technologies
  • Experience working with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, DLP, WAF, or similar platforms
  • Understanding of security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk management practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain technical risks to both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Relevant security certifications are advantageous
