Cyber Security Architect

We're partnering with our client on a strategic cybersecurity review and are seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to lead a high-impact assessment and architecture engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review current security architecture, controls, documentation and technology environments.
  • Conduct workshops and interviews with security, technology and operational stakeholders.
  • Develop threat models and identify priority risk scenarios.
  • Perform gap analysis and assess the effectiveness of current security controls.
  • Define future-state security principles, architecture and control requirements.
  • Translate security frameworks and best practices into practical business-focused recommendations.
  • Develop a prioritised roadmap balancing risk, complexity, dependencies and delivery effort.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders and project sponsors.

Highly Desirable

  • 10+ years' experience within cybersecurity, security architecture or enterprise architecture.
  • Strong experience delivering security assessments, reviews and architecture engagements.
  • Proven threat modelling and risk assessment capability.
  • Ability to convert security frameworks into practical and achievable outcomes.
  • Strong consulting, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and driving outcomes in complex environments

Essential experience

  • Experience within Operational Technology (OT), Industrial Control Systems (ICS) or Critical Infrastructure environments.
  • Understanding of network segmentation, trust boundaries and secure interfaces between IT and OT environments.
  • Familiarity with frameworks such as IEC 62443, NIST, Essential Eight, MITRE ATT&CK for ISC or similar industry standards.
  • Experience working within highly regulated or operationally critical environments.
