UK Power Networks

About

We own and maintain the electricity cables and lines across London, the South East and East of England, making sure power flows reliably, safely, and securely to 8.3 million homes and businesses. As the UK's biggest electricity distributor, we serve a quarter of the UK's population, keeping communities running and the lights on for millions of people every day.

Our team of over 6,000 people works around the clock to maintain and upgrade our networks, respond to power cuts, and connect new homes and businesses. We're not just maintaining infrastructure - we're actively preparing for the future by enabling the transition to cleaner, greener energy and supporting the growing demand for electric vehicles and heat pumps. Through our regulated network business and our commercial services arm, we're committed to delivering reliable power while helping Britain reach net zero.
