As an OT Cybersecurity Consultant, you will:
- Define and implement OT cybersecurity principles, security architecture, and IT/OT boundary requirements across multiple project workstreams.
- Design secure network segmentation, communication, and infrastructure architectures for Operational Technology (OT) environments.
- Develop cybersecurity requirements for operational monitoring, sensor data integration, enterprise data integration, and operational support systems.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies aligned with organizational security objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and frameworks including IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and enterprise architecture guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to establish secure-by-design architectures for industrial control environments.
- Support architecture governance processes, Design Authority reviews, and stakeholder workshops to secure approval for Project Start Architectures (PSA).
- Provide technical guidance on securing Industrial Control Systems (ICS), SCADA environments, and critical OT infrastructure.
- Work closely with IT and OT teams to ensure secure integration while maintaining operational resilience and business continuity.
What You Bring to the Table:
- 10+ years of overall experience in Cybersecurity, with significant expertise in Operational Technology (OT) security.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing OT/ICS cybersecurity architectures.
- Strong knowledge of IT/OT security architecture, industrial network design, and secure network segmentation.
- Hands-on experience securing ICS/SCADA environments and industrial communication protocols.
- Deep understanding of IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and OT security best practices.
- Experience performing cybersecurity risk assessments and developing security controls for critical infrastructure.
- Familiarity with enterprise architecture principles and governance processes.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and technical documentation skills.
You should possess the ability to:
- Design secure and scalable OT security architectures aligned with business and regulatory requirements.
- Define cybersecurity controls for industrial automation and control systems.
- Assess cybersecurity risks and recommend practical mitigation strategies.
- Architect secure IT/OT integration while maintaining operational availability.
- Develop network segmentation strategies for critical OT environments.
- Interpret and apply IEC 62443 and NIST standards to real-world industrial environments.
- Facilitate architecture governance discussions, Design Authority reviews, and technical workshops.
- Collaborate effectively with engineering, operations, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity teams.
- Balance cybersecurity requirements with operational reliability and performance.
