Sensofusion

Vantaa, Uusimaa, FI (On-site)1 open job

Sensofusion develops and manufactures drone detection and counter-drone systems, including the passive RF sensing platform Airfence, for military, law-enforcement, and public-safety customers.

Sensofusion builds and manufactures drone detection and counter-drone systems for military, law-enforcement, and public-safety customers. The threat model it addresses is specific and increasingly common: unauthorized or autonomous aerial systems approaching personnel, bases, and critical infrastructure, along with the operators flying them. Its flagship platform, Airfence, takes a passive approach - radio-frequency sensing rather than active emission - to identify drones and report, in real time, where the aircraft and the pilot are. That passive design matters operationally: the detector doesn't advertise its own presence in the spectrum it's monitoring. Airfence has been in use by governmental customers since 2016, with deployments across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

The product line extends past detection. Airfence Military Edition layers countermeasures onto the platform for protecting personnel and infrastructure from modern aerial threats. Beyond ground-based systems, Sensofusion's Aerospace business covers a broad surface: Sensofusion Swift, a surveillance aircraft; Fennec satellite missions; interceptor drones built to engage unauthorized aerial systems; and a Tactical Drone Factory - portable facilities designed to manufacture aircraft rapidly in the field.

The technical work spans passive radio-frequency sensing, signal processing, hardware and software development, and field-deployable manufacturing. Sensofusion describes itself as end-to-end in-house: research, product development, prototyping, and production under one roof, combining hardware, software, signal-processing, and operational expertise. For engineers, that means the loop from a detection problem in the field to a signal-processing change, a firmware update, or a manufactured airframe stays inside one organization.
