Responsibilities
Peraton seeks a SOC/Security Analyst to support Department of Defense Cyber Defense Command (DCDC) with DCO AI Cyber Security Support.
Location: Fort Meade, MD.
In this role, you will monitor security systems, analyze alerts, and respond to security incidents to protect DCDC analytic infrastructure.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Monitor SIEM and security tools for threats
- Analyze security alerts and events
- Conduct log analysis and correlation
- Support incident detection and response
- Perform vulnerability scanning and analysis
- Maintain security monitoring documentation
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 8 years with BS/BA; Minimum of 6 years with MS/MA; Minimum of 3 years with PhD
- Current Security+, CySA+, or equivalent IA cybersecurity certification
- Experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, ELK)
- Knowledge of security monitoring and alerting
- Log analysis and correlation skills
- Understanding of attack patterns and indicators
- Incident response experience
- U.S Citizenship required
- DoD TS with ability to obtain/maintain SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field
- 8 years of relevant experience
