A bit about your role
As the Cybersecurity Architect – AI Security at nbn, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how we securely embrace the possibilities of Generative AI and Machine Learning. Reporting to the Senior Manager – Security Architecture, you will be part of the Architecture & Delivery team, which governs nbn’s systems architecture and end-to-end solution design. Your work will influence the way AI is integrated across our Channels & Integration functions, embedding security-by-design principles into every layer of our AI adoption roadmap.
In this role, you will design secure reference architectures and patterns that enable safe, scalable, and compliant AI solutions. You will lead the development of security artefacts, perform AI-specific threat modelling, and define reusable security patterns that align with enterprise architecture and regulatory frameworks. By partnering closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders, and technology partners, you will ensure that AI solutions are resilient, trusted, and ready for operational handover. Your contribution will empower nbn to innovate responsibly while protecting the integrity of our systems and data.

Your experience spans cloud-native platforms and AI/ML-enabled systems, and you bring a strong foundation in security architecture and integration patterns. You thrive in environments where you can influence and guide, using your excellent communication and problem-solving skills to build trust and alignment across technical and business teams.
You understand the nuances of agile and DevSecOps practices and are confident navigating complex regulatory and compliance landscapes. Your mindset is strategic yet pragmatic, balancing creativity with rigour to deliver secure, scalable solutions. If you are motivated by purpose, eager to shape the future of AI security, and ready to make a meaningful impact, we would love to hear from you.
