Information Security Manager

Kinetic IT are seeking anInformation Security Manager to lead security governance, risk and assurance for a critical state government environment. This is a full-time, 100% onsite based in Perth CBD for someone who brings clarity, confidence and practical judgement to complex managed services delivery.

You’ll be the trusted security lead for the customer, helping senior stakeholders make confident decisions and turn security expectations into practical outcomes. In this role, you’ll also:

• Own and uplift the ISMS, aligning it to ISO 27001, NIST CSF, ACSC Essential Eight, customer policy and regulatory obligations.
• Lead governance, risk, compliance and assurance activity, with clear reporting that supports confident executive decision-making.
• Shape secure solution and service design across cloud governance, Zero Trust, Identity/Access Management, operations and transformation work.
• Turn threat intelligence and security performance insights into practical controls, awareness and continuous improvement.

Key experience includes:

• Experience designing, implementing and maintaining an ISMS, supported by strong governance, risk and compliance capability including external audits and assurance activities.
• Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks, industry standards and regulatory requirements relevant to government, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
• Demonstrated leadership across cloud security governance, hybrid environments and the practical application of security controls in high-risk solution design.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence across large, distributed and security-sensitive environments.
• Relevant architecture, assurance or security certifications such as TOGAF, CISM, CISSP or CIPM.
