Job Summary:
KBR is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting F‑22 Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) activities at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC). In this role, you will apply your expertise to analyze, assess, and strengthen advanced avionics systems used to defend the nation’s most sophisticated air dominance platform. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in‑depth cybersecurity and risk assessments for F‑22 modernization, development, testing, and sustainment efforts.
- Perform IV&V cybersecurity analyses to validate security controls, architecture, and system implementations.
- Apply Joint Security Implementation Guide (JSIG) guidance to ensure appropriate protections for cross‑domain and multi‑level secure systems.
- Review and assess technical documentation, including system concepts, requirements, architecture designs, user manuals, reports, source code (when applicable), discrepancy/change documentation, and program schedules to ensure all security requirements are addressed and maintained.
- Observe and verify functional and security testing, performing additional cybersecurity tests as needed to confirm required protections are correctly implemented and sustained.
- Document results and produce high‑quality IV&V artifacts, including test plans, reports, anomaly findings, recommendations, and activity updates. Evaluate contractor cybersecurity implementations to ensure compliance with program, DoD, USAF, and JSIG security requirements.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (experience may be considered in lieu of degree)
- 7+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience in DoD, aerospace, or similar environments
- Must meet DoD 8140 requirements such as:
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)
- CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
- GSLC (GIAC Security Leadership Certification)
- CCNP Security or higher
- Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance with ability to gain SAP
- Strong understanding of RMF, NIST 800-53, and cybersecurity compliance frameworks
