As an adjunct faculty member, you’ll provide program instruction incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies and other industry trends reflecting advancements in your discipline.  If you are highly motivated and passionate about teaching exceptional quality instruction in modern facilities with smaller class sizes, we’d like to hear from you. 

Important Details:

  • This position will be located at Fort Leonard Wood (316 Missouri Ave, Fort Leonard Wood, MO 65473)
  • Candidates will need to be on-site one day per week (excluding Friday) from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Central Standard Time (CST)

Course: Fundamentals in Cybersecurity

This course provides a fundamental understanding of the importance of cybersecurity through a broad range of cybersecurity topics. The course introduces core concepts and terminology used in cybersecurity and information systems security. Students learn concepts related to identifying common attack vectors, threats, preventive tools, and keeping information secure as it travels across a network. Students also gain a basic understanding of how cybersecurity threats and social engineering impact society.

What You Will Do:

  • Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
  • Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
  • Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

  • MS in Cybersecurity, Information Assurance, MBA w/Cyber, or a MS in Information Technology with 2+ years of related experience and a Security+ (or equivalent) certification
  • Exceptions may be granted to individuals with a Bachelor's in any of the above degrees with 5+ years of relevant experience
