About this opportunity
The Cybersecurity Center of Excellence at our Solna office partners with our R&D teams to safeguard Getinge's medical devices throughout their lifecycles. Our products operate in safety-critical acute care environments where clinical performance and cybersecurity resilience are essential.
As a Cybersecurity Architect, you will bridge the gap between security expertise and product innovation. Your strength lies in translating complex security concepts into practical guidance that engineers can apply—educating and inspiring a security-first culture.
You'll collaborate within our cybersecurity team, sharing solutions and expertise across product programs as we build capabilities together. Here you have the opportunity to help shape secure products and security practices across our entire portfolio.
What You'll Do
Security by Design
- Lead threat modeling and security risk analyses as well as proposing security controls
- Guide design of product architectures for complex medical device systems, from embedded firmware to cloud-connected platforms
- Perform security reviews of architecture and designs
Technical Leadership
- Collaborate with product teams to balance security, safety, and usability requirements
- Understand and translate regulatory requirements into design
Knowledge Sharing & Enablement
- Educate and mentor development teams on security best practices
- Translate complex security concepts into actionable guidance for engineers
- Build security awareness and understanding in the product teams
This position is based in Solna, Stockholm and may include occasional travel. The position is eligible for a hybrid setup where you can work from home 1-2 days a week.
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills
- MSc in Computer Science or equivalent
- At least 5 years of experience working with security for embedded and IoT systems
- Proven experience with threat modeling and security risk analysis
- Strong background in secure architecture and design patterns for both embedded and enterprise systems
- Understanding of embedded systems security (e.g., ARM TrustZone, secure boot, cryptographic implementations)
- Experience in security for SW environments based on Linux, RTOS, Java or Golang
- Fluency in English, both oral and written, is required. Fluency in Swedish is meritorious
The following qualifications are meritorious:
- Knowledge of medical device regulations (FDA cybersecurity guidance, IEC 62304, IEC 81001-5-1)
- Secure coding practices and corresponding tool support
- Security testing, fuzzing, penetration testing and corresponding tool support
