Job Summary
The SOC Level 1 Analyst is responsible for monitoring security systems, reviewing alerts, and identifying potential cybersecurity threats. This role focuses on first-level analysis, accurate reporting, and escalating security incidents to senior security teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and SOC dashboards
- Perform initial analysis and triage of security incidents
- Identify suspicious or abnormal system and network activity
- Escalate confirmed security issues to senior analysts
- Create, update, and maintain incident tickets and reports
- Follow established security procedures and operational guidelines
- Support 24/7 shift operations when required
Requirements
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of computers, networks, and operating systems
- Strong interest in cyber security and security monitoring
- Ability to analyze data and follow investigation procedures
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
- 0–1 year of experience in cybersecurity or a related IT role
Mandatory Certification
- Candidates must hold at least one certification in one of the following areas:
- Incident Response
- Digital Forensics
- Threat Hunting
- Malware Analysis
