Job Title: Cybersecurity Automation Engineer Intern
Location: Dayforce Philippines Office - Hybrid (2-3 days per week)

Duration: Summer 2026 - 6 Months (starting May/June 2026 – December 2026)
Availability: *Full-time availability of 37.5 – 40 hours weekly is required to be eligible for this opportunity.

About the opportunity:
The Cybersecurity Automation Intern will support the security architecture and engineering teams by developing automated solutions that improve service delivery, deployment, and overall network and security efficiency. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybersecurity, scripting, and building tools that reduce manual effort and enhance organizational security posture.
What you’ll get to do:
- Build and maintain automation scripts and workflows to streamline security operations (using Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc.).
- Assist in creating automated responses for common tasks, alerts, and incidents.
- Develop integrations between tools, APIs, and internal systems.
Skills and experience we value:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related field
- Foundational experience with scripting or programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash (e.g., through coursework, labs, or personal projects)
- Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts, with exposure to tools such as Terraform (e.g., through coursework, labs, or personal projects)
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Ability to facilitate working sessions with engineers and the business
- Embraces collaborative teamwork
- Knows when and how to escalate to get direction and avoid roadblocks
