As a Cybersecurity Intern in Enterprise Technology Services, you’ll join a 10-week Summer Internship Program and contribute to work that helps protect American Express information systems, customer data, colleague experiences, and digital assets.
Cybersecurity teams help identify, reduce, monitor, and respond to technology and information security risks. In this role, you may support secure architecture, identity and access management, endpoint protection, security monitoring, application security, documentation, and AI-enabled cybersecurity workflows with guidance from peers and leaders.
You’ll collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, product partners, software development teams, operations teams, and business stakeholders to learn how security controls, secure development practices, and threat detection capabilities are designed, implemented, documented, and continuously improved.

Enterprise Technology Services teams build and support technology that enables trusted, secure, and customer-first experiences across American Express. Cybersecurity teams help protect the company by strengthening defenses across identities, applications, data, infrastructure, cloud platforms, networks, endpoints, monitoring, and response capabilities.
As a Cybersecurity Intern, you’ll contribute at an early-career level while learning how cybersecurity engineering, operations, assurance, regulatory expectations, secure development, responsible AI usage, and business objectives come together in a global enterprise environment.
