Vinted operates Europe's largest C2C second-hand fashion marketplace, and the surface area is the interesting part. Founded in 2008 in Vilnius by Milda Mitkutė and Justas Janauskas, the company now has more than 2,200 employees, millions of members trading daily, and operations spanning 20+ markets across Europe and North America. It became Lithuania's first unicorn in 2019 and is backed by Accel, EQT Growth, Insight Partners, and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

The threat model follows the product lines. Vinted Marketplace handles continuous buyer-seller interaction at scale. Vinted Pay runs digital payments for buyers and sellers across Europe, which puts regulated financial flows in scope. Vinted Go extends the platform into logistics: over 500,000 pick-up and drop-off points built with more than 60 carrier partners, meaning third-party integrations and partner data exchange are part of the daily operating picture rather than an edge case. The technical domains span the online marketplace platform, shipping network technology, digital payments, and e-commerce generally.

The company is headquartered in Vilnius, with additional locations in Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg, and Paris. Its stated mission is to make second-hand the first choice worldwide, with a sustainability focus on making the most of what already exists.
