Unified Women's Healthcare is a nationwide women's health services company supporting 3,000+ clinicians across 815+ locations with practice management, fertility, maternity analytics, and virtual menopause care.
Unified Women's Healthcare operates one of the larger attack surfaces in women's health: a nationwide network of more than 815 locations and over 3,000 clinicians, built on a practice-management platform that handles the business side of medicine for private OB-GYN practices. The company, founded in 2009, supports autonomous physician practices rather than employing them outright - which means the data estate is federated across affiliate practices, and the trust model has to hold across an organization that doesn't own every endpoint it depends on. Add fertility records via CCRM Fertility, maternity analytics through Lucina, and a virtual menopause clinic in Gennev, and the sensitive-data problem stops being abstract: reproductive health data is among the most consequential information a healthcare entity can hold, and it moves through telehealth, analytics, and value-based care workflows.
The technical surface is not a single EHR. It spans practice management and operations technology, maternity analytics, virtual care, and value-based care services - domains where integration, uptime, and data integrity matter as much as perimeter defense. Any security function here inherits a hybrid problem: clinical continuity for thousands of providers who cannot be taken offline, plus the confidentiality expectations that come with fertility, pregnancy, and menopause care data across state lines.
Unified's stated posture is to preserve the private, autonomous practice of medicine and reinforce the physician-patient relationship. Operationally, that translates to a company that treats clinician workflows and patient trust as the constraints everything else - including security architecture - has to work around. The work is nationwide in scope, healthcare in its stakes, and structurally more complicated than a single-org environment.
