Treasury Wine Estates

Global wine company selling 70+ brands in 70+ countries, with 10,000+ hectares of vineyards and operations across Australia, the US, New Zealand, France, and Italy.

Treasury Wine Estates operates one of the largest wine portfolios in the world: over 70 brands sold in more than 70 countries, more than 10,000 hectares of vineyards, and roughly 2,500 employees spread across Australia, the United States, New Zealand, France, and Italy. That footprint is the interesting part from a security standpoint. This is not a single-site operation - it is a distributed business spanning viticulture and production in regions like Barossa Valley, Napa Valley, Marlborough, Bordeaux, and Tuscany, plus brand marketing and consumer-facing operations run out of three portfolio divisions: Penfolds, Treasury Collective, and Treasury Americas.

The threat model follows the business. On one side, there is agriculture and manufacturing infrastructure - vineyard holdings, harvest and production operations, supply chain and logistics spanning global markets. On the other, there is a luxury consumer brand estate that includes Penfolds Grange, DAOU Vineyards, Beringer, Frank Family Vineyards, Wynns Coonawarra Estate, 19 Crimes, and Squealing Pig. High-value luxury wine brands carry their own risk profile: brand impersonation, counterfeit goods, and fraud aimed at consumers, customers, and partners. Corporate IT, cloud, and identity security sit across all of it.

Scale and heritage are both load-bearing here. The stated ambition is to be the world's most desirable luxury wine company, and the company describes its purpose as "Boldly Cultivating" - creating value through brands, wine, people, and environment. It publicly commits to an inclusive culture that values varied backgrounds, ideas, cultures, and voices, and to balancing respect for winemaking heritage with a forward-looking mindset. Domain experience worth bringing: securing industrial and agricultural environments alongside enterprise IT, brand-protection and fraud-adjacent work, multi-region identity and access management, and the patience to work with a business where the physical asset - the wine - is the point.
