Synapxe is Singapore's national HealthTech agency, creating intelligent technological solutions to improve the health of millions every day, everywhere. Formerly known as Integrated Health Information Systems (IHiS), the agency was established in 2008 and rebranded in 2023 to reflect its expanded role in advancing healthcare technology. Synapxe supports over 50,000 healthcare users and manages innovations that benefit more than 12 million annual patient visits, with over 80 awards for technological impact.
As the nexus of HealthTech, Synapxe connects people and systems to power a healthier Singapore. The agency develops and manages critical national infrastructure including the National Electronic Health Record (NEHR), HealthHub, Next Generation Electronic Medical Record (NGEMR), and cloud platforms across Azure and AWS. Synapxe drives AI-enabled clinical decision support, data analytics, telehealth solutions, and robotics automation across the public healthcare ecosystem. The agency partners with the Ministry of Health to execute national healthcare IT masterplans and digitally links public hospitals, general practitioners, community care providers, and individuals to enable seamless data sharing and improved patient outcomes.
