About

We're the deployment services company utilities rely on to take distributed energy resources (DERs) from grid edge to grid core. With over a decade of experience as a utility services company, we've pioneered a smarter approach to deploying distributed assets as part of a fast-growing grid. Through our Distributed Capacity Procurement (DCP) model, we enable utilities to plan, deploy, and dispatch DERs at the scale and pace necessary to meet load growth demand and unlock the full value of the grid.

Our team supports program design, assessment of DER grid value, host engagement, and value chain management to ensure on-time, on-budget deployment of distributed resources with maximum grid value and lowest cost. We've deployed more than 3,200 projects across 43 states and over 300MW of energized assets, transforming buildings into a valuable extension of the grid. Our culture is built on ownership, resilience, and shared purpose - we're curious, creative, critical thinkers who aren't afraid to tackle the complex challenges of the energy transition.

TechSeed

TechSeed is a Nordic tech consulting company founded in 2021, operating as an employee-owned firm with approximately 150 specialists - internally called TechStars - distributed across Sweden and Norway. The company structures itself around niche specialized groups, each targeting top-three positioning in their respective technical domains. Core focus areas include X-Reality, IoT, FPGA design, sustainability transformation, and intelligent edge computing - technologies that connect physical infrastructure with digital systems through embedded hardware and real-time data processing at network peripherals. The technical orientation centers on intelligent edge architecture: computing environments where data processing happens close to sensors and actuators rather than centralized cloud infrastructure. This positioning intersects with security-relevant domains including IoT device management, embedded systems hardening, and digital twin implementations that require secure data pipelines between physical assets and their virtual representations. FPGA design work suggests capabilities in hardware-level security implementations and custom silicon solutions where standard commercial processors present unacceptable attack surfaces. TechSeed's employee ownership model and emphasis on specialized group autonomy creates a decentralized operational structure. The company explicitly prioritizes what it describes as fair, open, and honest communication alongside technical curiosity and entrepreneurial approaches to problem-solving. Led by CEO Sven Ivar Mørch, the organization operates without disclosed external funding, suggesting either bootstrapped growth or acquisition history not reflected in available materials. The firm's website is techseed.se.

Brightspeed

In 2021, Apollo Global Management announced a landmark agreement to acquire Lumen Technologies' incumbent local exchange carrier assets across 20 states, creating a new kind of internet provider with a singular focus on bridging America's digital divide. The founders recognized that millions of homes and businesses in rural and suburban communities were being left behind without access to reliable, high-speed connectivity. This wasn't just about faster downloads - it was about enabling remote work, telehealth, online education, and economic opportunity for communities that had been overlooked for too long. Headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, Brightspeed launched with a multi-billion-dollar commitment to deploy state-of-the-art fiber networks across the Midwest and Southeast. As the nation's fifth-largest incumbent local exchange carrier and third-largest fiber broadband builder, the company has already passed more than 2 million fiber-enabled locations and is on track to reach 5 million. By investing in next-generation infrastructure with low latency and consistent performance, Brightspeed is redefining what's possible for digital infrastructure in underserved America - one community at a time.

LIGHTFEATHER IO LLC

LightFeather IO LLC is a digital services company founded in 2018 that modernizes U.S. federal infrastructure through DevSecOps implementation, cloud engineering, and legacy system transformation. Operating as both a Woman-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, the company works exclusively with federal agencies to deliver value-driven IT solutions that integrate security practices directly into development and operations workflows. The company's technical practice centers on three core service areas: DevSecOps integration for federal systems, cloud-based infrastructure modernization, and comprehensive system transformation projects. LightFeather positions itself at the intersection of cutting-edge cloud technologies and the specific compliance, security, and operational requirements of government IT environments. Their approach combines forward-leaning methodologies with the technical rigor required for federal work, where security isn't an afterthought but a foundational element of every deployment. Led by CEO Sarah Fahden, LightFeather maintains a mission-driven operational philosophy that technology should serve people rather than create barriers. The company explicitly frames its work around making government services more effective for end users - citizens who depend on federal systems to function reliably and securely. For security professionals, this translates to work that matters beyond abstract compliance: modernizing infrastructure that serves real public needs while meeting stringent federal security standards and advancing the maturity of DevSecOps practices across government agencies.
