Title: Sr. Cybersecurity Instructor
Solutions³ is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Instructor to support the delivery and expansion of our cybersecurity and ITSM training offerings. This role is delivery-focused, centered on designing, developing, and delivering high-quality instructor-led training while supporting internal training initiatives, training partner engagements, and workforce development programs.
The Senior Cybersecurity Instructor serves as a trusted delivery expert, working closely with our Training Leadership to execute training programs, enhance course content, support training-related business development efforts, and help maintain instructor credentials required for Authorized Training Organization (ATO) status with our training partners.
This role is ideal for a highly experienced practitioner-instructor who thrives in front of the classroom and wants to influence training quality, consistency, and outcomes, and participates in the full training business lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Training Delivery
- Deliver instructor-led cybersecurity training across Federal, SLED, Commercial, and academic environments.
- Facilitate courses in cybersecurity domains such as:
- Cybersecurity fundamentals and security operations
- Incident detection and response
- Risk management, compliance, and governance
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
- NIST 800-171, CMMC, and cyber compliance topics
- Deliver ITSM / ITIL-aligned training where applicable (preferred, but not required)
- Support both onsite and virtual instructor-led training (VILT) delivery models.
- Serve as a senior delivery resource on government and commercial training contracts.
- Contribute to the design, writing, and continuous improvement of cybersecurity training courses.
- Update course materials to reflect evolving threats, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with the development of labs, exercises, case studies, and assessments.
- Align course content to NIST NICE, NIST CSF, and SFIA frameworks.
- Support the customization of training content for client-specific requirements.
- Deliver internal Solutions³ training, including:
- Annual Security Awareness Training
- CUI and Insider Threat training
- Required annual compliance and policy-based training
- Support internal staff development initiatives and instructor readiness activities.
- Assist in maintaining training records and evidence to support audit and compliance requirements.
- Support the delivery of Solutions³’s Managed Security Awareness Training services for clients.
- Assist with awareness platform onboarding, employee onboarding, and program execution.
- Participate in simulated phishing campaigns, training program updates, and reporting activities.
- Support monthly and executive-level reporting and client briefings as needed.
- Collaborate with Lead Instructors and Program Leadership on awareness program improvements.
- Support engagement with training partners such as DVMS Institute, Hack The Box, Infosec Institute, etc.
- Maintain required instructor credentials and certifications to support partner-delivered training.
- Assist with pilot programs, beta courses, and content reviews when requested by partners.
- Support Solutions³’s efforts to meet and maintain Authorized Training Organization (ATO) requirements.
- Support training-related business development activities, including:
- Participation in demos, webinars, and informational briefings
- SME support for proposals and responses
- Input into training scope, delivery models, and course recommendations
- Provide subject matter expertise to help align training solutions with client needs.
- Collaborate with sales and capture teams as a technical and instructional resource.
- Apply working knowledge of:
- NIST NICE Framework
- NIST educational guidance and federal training requirements
- SFIA Framework for skills assessment and role alignment
- Support SkillsTX or SFIA-aligned skills assessments when integrated into training or workforce development efforts.
- DVMS Institutes Adaptive Edge platform and Cyber Resilience Professional (CRP) Training
The qualifications below reflect the core experience, technical depth, and instructional capability required to successfully deliver cybersecurity training at a senior level across government and commercial environments.
- Proven experience delivering technical cybersecurity training in instructor-led environments.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, frameworks, and best practices.
- Experience contributing to course development or curriculum enhancement.
- Working knowledge of NIST-CSF, NIST 800-171, CIS and cybersecurity risk frameworks.
- Familiarity with NIST NICE and SFIA frameworks.
- Minimum of three (3) Industry-recognized certifications listed below, such as:
- ISC²: CISSP, CC, CISM, or CCSP
- CompTIA: Security+, SecurityX, CySA+, CASP+, PenTest+
- ISACA: CISM, CRISC, or CDPSE
- Ability to create training programs in addition to training courses
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to deliver training in both virtual and onsite environments.
Citizenship & Federal Eligibility
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible to work on U.S. Government contracts.
- Ability to support work in Federal environments, including compliance with agency-specific requirements.
- An active U.S. Government security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) is not required but is preferred and may be required for certain engagements.

Vendor & Training Partner Support Activities:
- IT Service Management and ITIL® certification.
- Experience delivering Security Awareness or compliance training.
- Experience with LMS platforms, cyber ranges, or lab-based training environments.
- Familiarity with SkillsTX or other SFIA-based skills assessment platforms.
- Familiarity with DVMS frameworks (CPD, Z-X, 3D Knowledge).
- Experience supporting federal, SLED, or enterprise training programs.

- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 5–7+ years of professional experience in cybersecurity, ITSM/ITOM, or technical instruction.
- 3+ years of experience delivering instructor-led training.
