SBS CyberSecurity is a cybersecurity consulting and audit firm serving regulated industries with penetration testing, GRC work, virtual CISO and AI governance advisory, plus its TRAC platform and SBS Institute training programs.
SBS CyberSecurity sells audits, penetration tests, and governance advice to organizations that get examined by regulators - community banks, credit unions, healthcare providers, and other regulated industries where a bad control assessment has consequences beyond the incident itself. The threat model is as much examiner findings and third-party exposure as it is malware: the firm runs IT and network security audits, vulnerability and penetration testing, incident response planning, business continuity work, vendor risk management, and security awareness training, then maps the output back to the regulatory frameworks its clients answer to.
Two products sit alongside the consulting practice. TRAC is a governance, risk, and compliance platform that automates risk assessments and aligns findings with regulations and organizational goals - useful if you've ever watched someone reconcile a spreadsheet of controls against a stack of examination guidance by hand. The SBS Institute handles the education side, offering certification programs, webinars, conferences, podcasts, and practical resources for security professionals and their employers.
The technical surface is broader than a traditional audit shop. Alongside GRC automation and virtual CISO advisory, the firm offers virtual Chief AI Officer advisory and AI governance work - positioning around helping organizations adopt emerging technology without dropping governance and risk from the conversation. That experience is rooted in financial services, specifically community banks and credit unions, which is where much of the firm's regulatory fluency comes from.
Roles here skew toward people who can translate between technical findings and audit language: assessors, testers, and advisors who can write a report an examiner will accept and a CISO will act on. The work is consultative rather than product-engineering heavy, and it involves direct client engagement across the regulated verticals listed above.
