Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) is the liquid waste contractor at the Department of Energy's Savannah River Site, responsible for safely treating and disposing of Cold War-era radioactive waste. Our team works to reduce the risk to the community and environment of radioactive liquid waste stored in aging waste tanks - a critical environmental mission spanning one of the world's largest nuclear cleanup operations. Our workforce has achieved exceptional results, completing over 20 million safe hours in a single year while eliminating record amounts of radioactivity from waste tanks. We operate facilities including the Defense Waste Processing Facility, Tank Farm operations, and associated production and disposal facilities across our South Carolina site.

Savannah River Mission Completion (SRMC) operates under a $21 billion, 10-year Integrated Mission Completion Contract from the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management. As a partnership led by BWX Technologies with Amentum and Fluor, we employ between 1,000 and 5,000 professionals dedicated to environmental remediation. Our scope encompasses liquid waste stabilization and disposition, nuclear materials management, project management, storage of liquid radioactive waste, remediation and treatment of nuclear materials, and decontamination of nuclear facilities and equipment. We commit 18% of our cumulative task order value to small businesses, supporting economic development in our region while advancing our national environmental mission.
