Pacific Smiles Group

About

In 2003, Dr Alex Abrahams founded Pacific Smiles Group with a vision to create Australia's first branded dental network, establishing a new model for dental service delivery. What started as three centres in the Hunter region has grown into one of Australia's largest and fastest-growing Dentist Service Organisations, now operating over 120 dental centres across New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory. The company was built on a simple but powerful insight: dentists deserve the freedom to focus on clinical excellence while a dedicated support network handles the business aspects of running a practice.

Today, Pacific Smiles Group partners with more than 800 dental practitioners, providing them with state-of-the-art facilities, leading technology, and comprehensive support services including patient attraction programs, sterilisation, chairside support, and administrative functions. The organisation operates under the Pacific Smiles Dental and nib Dental Care Centre brands, with a true purpose to improve the oral health of all Australians to world-class standards. Listed on the ASX (PSQ), Pacific Smiles continues to expand its national footprint, creating opportunities for practitioners to build successful practices while delivering outstanding patient care and customer service across a growing network of quality dental centres.

Westpac Group

Westpac Group is Australia's oldest bank, established in 1817 as the Bank of New South Wales before becoming Westpac Banking Corporation in 1982. As one of Australia's four major banks, it operates across Australia and New Zealand serving over 13 million customers with everyday banking, home loans, business solutions, and wealth management services. The scale and regulatory environment of a two-century-old financial institution handling daily transactions for millions of customers creates a threat surface that spans legacy systems, modern digital banking channels, and cross-border operations. The bank's infrastructure must defend consumer transactional banking, mortgage lending operations, business banking platforms, and wealth management systems against persistent attacks targeting financial services. At this scale - supporting first-time homebuyers, business growth financing, and retirement planning across two countries - security teams face the full spectrum of financial sector threats: sophisticated fraud schemes, ransomware targeting core banking systems, regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and the challenge of securing both aging infrastructure and modern digital banking applications simultaneously. Led by CEO Anthony Miller, Westpac positions itself around creating lasting customer relationships and supporting communities through major financial milestones. For security practitioners, this translates to protecting personally identifiable information at massive scale, securing high-value financial transactions, maintaining operational resilience for services that millions depend on daily, and navigating the complex regulatory landscape governing Australian and New Zealand banking operations. The institutional longevity means working with technology stacks that span decades while modernizing defenses against contemporary threats.

Par Pacific Holdings

In 2012, Par Pacific Holdings began with a vision to bring together decades-long histories of established energy businesses: Wyoming Refining Company, US Oil, Par Montana, and Par Hawaii. The founders recognized that traditional energy companies were overlooking complex markets where local communities needed reliable, dedicated fuel providers. They saw an opportunity to combine deep industry experience with financial acumen to serve these logistically-challenged markets that larger competitors often neglected. Today, Par Pacific owns and operates one of the largest energy networks in Hawaii, with additional refining and logistics assets across the Pacific Northwest and Rockies. The company operates four refineries with 219,000 barrels per day of combined capacity, owns 549 miles of pipeline and 13 million barrels of storage, and runs retail brands including Hele, 76, and nomnom. Under the leadership of CEO William Monteleone, Par Pacific continues to pursue operational excellence while expanding into renewable fuels and maintaining a commitment to the communities they serve.
