About the Role The Global Cyber Security Program Manager will provide insights and recommendations and is accountable for contributing to and shaping the development of Global Cyber Security Strategy. Under the leadership of the Global Head of IT and aligned to the IT strategy, the GCSPM will lead and drive multiple initiatives in collaboration with global and regional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Cyber Security Strategy & Program Leadership

  • Develop and maintain a pragmatic, business-aligned global cyber security strategy and roadmap
  • Establish, lead and mature the organisation’s cyber security program, policies, and operating model
  • Translate risk, threats, and control gaps into clear, prioritised initiatives

Governance, Risk & Reporting

  • Own cyber security governance, risk management, and assurance activities
  • Prepare clear, concise board-level and executive reporting (risk posture, incidents, trends, investments)
  • Take initiative in identifying emerging risks and opportunities for improvement
  • Assist with writing and informing policy
  • Exercise judgement in risk treatment, escalation and remediation recommendations to executive leadership

Security Operations & MDR/SOC Management

  • Manage the Managed Detection & Response (MDR) / SOC relationship
  • Chair and lead monthly SOC operational reviews
  • Oversee detection logic, alert tuning, suppression reviews, and roadmap planning
  • Drive continuous improvement of monitoring, response, and threat detection capabilities
  • Provide strategic oversight of endpoint and infrastructure security across the global environment
  • Lead and coordinate cyber security incident response activities, including post incident reviews.

Audit, Assessments & Assurance

  • Lead and coordinate internal and external cyber audits and assessments
  • Act as the primary point of contact for auditors and assessors
  • Track findings through to remediation and closure

Threat Intelligence & Incident Preparedness

  • Oversee threat intelligence intake, analysis, and relevance to the organisation
  • Ensure threat insights inform controls, detections, incident readiness and executive awareness
  • Maintain readiness for incident response and crisis management
  • Maintain an effective vulnerability and threat intelligence capability, informed by industry engagement and security community participation

Vendor & Third-Party Security

  • Manage cyber security vendors and strategic partners
  • Support third-party risk assessments and ongoing vendor security oversight

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Partner closely with IT, technology teams, and business leaders globally
  • Communicate complex cyber topics in clear, business-focused language
  • Support the Global Head of IT with executive, board, and stakeholder engagement
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on security considerations for new technology initiatives
  • Drive cyber awareness and training programs for staff and students

About You

  • Significant experience in cyber security, including leadership roles
  • Proven track record building security programs, ideally in organisations with complex structures
  • Experience managing MDR/SOC operations and vendor relationships
  • Background in security frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or similar)
  • Experience with endpoint protection, infrastructure security, and vulnerability management platforms
  • Experience with MS suite of security tools (Defender, Purview, DLP, etc.)
