Motor Oil Hellas S.A.

Kifissia, Attica, GR (On-site)1 open job

Greek energy group refining crude oil and trading petroleum products, with retail fuel networks, power and gas, renewables, EV charging, and circular-economy services across international markets.

Motor Oil Hellas S.A. runs critical energy infrastructure at national scale, which is what makes its security surface interesting. Founded in 1972, the Greek energy group refines crude oil and trades petroleum products across Greece and international markets, with a refinery processing capacity exceeding 200,000 barrels per day and exports to more than 75 countries. Alongside refining, the group operates power and natural gas activities, lubricants and LPG lines, and a renewable energy portfolio of roughly 940 MW of net operating capacity. ~3,500 employees keep it running.

The attack surface is broad and heterogeneous. Downstream, the Avin and Coral retail networks together account for more than 1,500 fuel stations in Greece - a distributed estate of sites, payment flows, and remote connectivity. Upstream, refinery operations imply industrial process environments where availability and safety constraints dominate. Between them sit trading and export relationships reaching over 75 countries, plus newer digital footprints: EV charging services, mobility services, alternative fuels, and circular-economy and environmental services. Each of these brings its own protocols, vendors, and legacy assumptions.

Corporate priorities center on employee safety, capability development, business ethics, and operating responsibly while investing in the transition toward lower-carbon energy. Security work here is inseparable from that: protecting physical operations and commercial systems while the business expands into renewables, electric mobility, and new service lines.
