Meratus

Meratus is a maritime and logistics integrator, founded in 1957 in Surabaya, Indonesia. The scope is the interesting part for security people: 100 vessels, more than 45 shipping routes, a network of container terminals across Indonesia and Southeast Asia, and a set of logistics centers wired into regional supply chains. That is a large, distributed attack surface spanning vessel operations, terminal and yard systems, container tracking, and the commercial stack behind integrated shipping and logistics services.

The company pioneered Indonesia's first dedicated container liner service in 1990 and was the first in the country to bundle shipping and logistics as a single offering. Technical domains run across maritime logistics, container liner shipping, container terminal operations, supply chain logistics, and digitalization and logistics technology - meaning IT and operational technology sit close together, and downtime at a terminal or on a route has consequences well beyond one company.
