What You'll Be Doing

As a Project Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our mission, taking on a range of exciting responsibilities:

  • Cybersecurity Assessments: Conduct in-depth cybersecurity assessments aligned with an array of critical industry standards, including EN 18031-series, ETSI EN 303 645, IEC 62443, IEC 81001-5-1, IEEE 11073-10101 series, and ISO 80601-2-13:2022, among others.

  • Protocol-Specific Testing: Perform meticulous testing according to specific protocols and clauses, such as Annex U of IEC EN 60335-1 and clause 8.5 of IEC 60947-4-1:2023.

  • Tooling & Techniques: Master and utilize a robust suite of cybersecurity tools and techniques, including Kali Linux, Wireshark, nmap, Fuzzing Tools, Nessus, and Burp Suite, during comprehensive assessments.

  • Protocol Analysis: Analyze a wide spectrum of communication protocols, including Ethernet/IP, TCP/UDP, TLS, HTTP, SSH, and various wireless standards (e.g., WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, Z-Wave).

  • Process & Accreditation: Establish standardized test report formats, refine evaluation processes and routines, and actively support crucial accreditation activities.

  • Global Collaboration: Participate actively in Intertek's global network of Cybersecurity labs, sharing knowledge, establishing efficient best practices, and developing new and innovative services.

  • Expert Representation: Collaborate and meet with key customers and external parties, attend conferences, and proudly promote and represent Intertek as a recognized subject matter expert.

  • Team Leadership: Take the initiative to lead and guide colleagues in the day-to-day management of their testing and evaluation work, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you’ll bring a blend of technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in leadership:

  • Experience: Solid experience in cybersecurity assessments, with a particular focus on IoT environments.

  • Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with a broad range of local and global cybersecurity standards and testing methodologies.

  • Mobile App Security: Experience with mobile application testing, ideally utilizing frameworks such as OWASP MASVS/MSTG.

  • Technical Acumen: Knowledge of secure coding practices, various interface communications (USB, UART, I2C/SPI, RFID/NFC), and common file formats.

  • Certifications (Desirable): Professional certifications such as CISA, CISSP, OSCP, CEH, or SANS are highly advantageous.

  • Attitude: An enthusiastic personality with a "can-do" attitude, eager to take on new challenges and drive solutions.

  • Leadership Interest: A keen interest in leadership activities and a desire to mentor and guide colleagues.
