Cybersecurity Automation Engineer

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Cybersecurity Automation Engineer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) - Federal Information Security Modernization (FISMA). You will play a crucial role in providing the IRS with knowledgeable subject matter experts to execute NIST, FISMA, Office of Management and Budget (OMB), FedRAMP, Treasury, and Internal Revenue Manual (IRM) technical Security Controls Assessments and Risk Analyses on information systems deploying to or are already deployed, which would result in all vulnerabilities and risks being identified.


● Lead/Manage/Support the development and implementation of automated compliance and security monitoring solutions using platforms such as Qmulos to support continuous monitoring and risk management initiatives.
● Collaborate with stakeholders and cybersecurity operations, engineering, and compliance teams to implement automated security monitoring and continuous compliance capabilities.
● Drive the development and maturation of automated compliance monitoring and security orchestration capabilities to improve operational efficiency and visibility.
● Utilize platforms such as Qmulos and related security automation tools to support continuous monitoring and compliance validation.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

● Education: Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree
● Experience: 5+ years of related experience
● Technical skills: Security Automation Systems, Qmulos preferred, Splunk, Cortex XSOAR, TheHive, Apache Kafka
● Security clearance level: MBI
● US citizenship required

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
