We are seeking a Cybersecurity Lead who will play a key role in protecting and strengthening Federal Group’s technology environment. Combining technical expertise with strategic leadership, you will help drive security initiatives, support secure business outcomes and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our cybersecurity capability.
What can you expect from a day in this role?
As the Cybersecurity Lead, you will play a key role in strengthening and protecting Federal Group’s technology environment. You will lead cybersecurity investigations and incident response activities, conduct risk and threat assessments, provide security guidance on projects and technology initiatives, and work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to ensure cybersecurity and privacy requirements are embedded into business and technology decisions.
You will also contribute to the development of cybersecurity standards, playbooks and operational practices while supporting the ongoing uplift of the Group’s cybersecurity maturity.
What will you bring to the role?
You are an experienced cybersecurity professional with a strong understanding of security operations, risk management and secure design principles. You have the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, practical advice and are confident working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Your background includes experience with enterprise security technologies, cybersecurity frameworks and risk assessments, and you bring a collaborative approach to driving security outcomes. You are also passionate about mentoring others, building capability and fostering a strong cybersecurity culture across the organisation.
