Job Summary
This Security Engineer 2 position will be responsible for reviewing requests for 3rd Party connectivity (electronic Partner Connection Request (ePCR) program) from all business units and Divisions in Comcast. This position will be an active and valuable component in the process of providing access to Comcast networks in the most secured and effective manner. Will be required to facilitate efficient communication across all levels of Comcast to provide direction/assistance to stakeholders on the ePCR request process.Job Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for review/approval of requests for 3rd Party connectivity via an established process in Service Now tool for new and existing Vendors.
- Processes the service requests related to electronic partner connectivity request (ePCR) and manage the queues for requests and firewall updates.
- Manage escalation requests for ePCR network connectivity.
- Coordinate with multiple internal teams, business units, and Divisions to communicate security requirements and to ensure security and compliance issues are addressed and adhered to regarding 3rd Party network connectivity.
- Interfaces directly with Firewall and VPN Engineers to implement connectivity between 3rd parties and Comcast.
- BAU requests require management of a mailbox queue, workflow tools, and ticketing systems.
- Performs regular risk analysis to proactively identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to Security process standardization and improvement.
- Develop documentation on processes to enhance the existing operation model.
- Compiles metrics for requests to allow for trending to assist in reviews of current processes, identify awareness needs, and facilitate measurement of continuous improvement.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of networking technologies to include IP Addressing, routing, switching, DNS, and Network Address Translation (NAT) practices.
- Knowledge of complex network operating environments
- Knowledge of information security methodologies
- Requires 2 – 3 years of related experience.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task and follow through on projects to completion.
- Experience with best practice change management procedures.
