Canyon AeroConnect supplies avionic-standard aircraft communications, navigation, and audio/intercom systems - VHF/UHF radios, tactical comms, and audio management - for civilian and military aircraft worldwide.
Canyon AeroConnect builds avionic-standard aircraft communications, navigation, and audio/intercom systems for both civilian and military platforms - the kind of equipment where the threat model starts with the aircraft, the crew, and the mission, not a dashboard. The product surface spans VHF/UHF radio systems, Tac/Com tactical communication setups, digital and analog radio/audio management, intercoms, aural warning generators, and data interface accessories. Signals on these systems are authenticated by physics and procedure long before software gets a say, which makes the engineering culture around them unusually literal about reliability.
The company traces back to 1970 in Overland Park, Kansas, as Wulfsberg Radio, which built the world's first FliteFone. It now operates from Prescott, Arizona, out of a 62,000-square-foot manufacturing facility with nearly 200 employees, and has operated under TransDigm Group since a 2021 rebrand. The FliteLine navigation line and the Tac/Com tactical systems sit alongside the radio and audio management products; the gear is in service worldwide across air ambulance, law enforcement, SAR, EMS, electronic news gathering, marine, and fixed-wing and rotorcraft military and paramilitary aviation.
What that vertical spread implies for anyone working on the systems themselves: a single radio or audio-management design has to hold up across a medevac helicopter at 2 a.m. and a tactical mission profile, in digital and analog variants, with data interfaces that other avionics depend on. The stated benchmark is mission-critical communications and tactical audio equipment - performance measured in whether the crew heard the call, not uptime on a slide.
