BWT Alpine F1 Team is looking for a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to take a leading role in shaping, operating, and continuously improving the security technologies and processes that protect our organisation. You will be the technical authority for cyber security, ensuring resilient systems, rapid incident response, and strong alignment with Groupe Renault’s security standards.
The Role
You will provide expert technical leadership across our cyber security platforms, processes, and strategy. This will include:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining security infrastructure including next‑generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and penetration testing tooling.
- Leading security incident response activities from detection through to containment, eradication, and recovery, conducting root‑cause analysis and lessons learned reviews.
- Acting as the escalation point for complex network and security incidents, providing 3rd‑line expertise and mentoring to uplift overall capability.
- Ensuring alignment with Groupe Renault’s Internal Control requirements and contributing to internal audits, the IT Security Working Group, and ongoing risk management activities.
- Driving continuous improvement of security controls, alignment to the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and effective delivery of security impact assessments across projects.
- Coordinating group‑level initiatives with the Alpine Business Unit and Groupe Renault CISO teams, ensuring consistent adoption of secure practices and technologies.
- Providing high‑quality documentation, best practice guidance, and knowledge sharing to IT colleagues.
- Acting as the primary subject matter expert for all cyber security matters within the organisation.
The Person
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated security specialist with strong hands‑on experience across modern cyber security technologies, tooling, and methodologies. You should bring several years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure operations, or similar high‑demand environments.
You will need strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, deep technical understanding, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. A proactive, diligent approach combined with a passion for security best practice is essential.
Ideally, you will have strong experience and/or knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Cisco networking certifications (e.g., CCNA) or equivalent security/networking qualifications.
- Next‑generation firewall platforms and IDS/IPS technologies.
- Vulnerability management tooling, penetration testing tools, and endpoint security platforms.
- Privileged access management, secure configuration baselines, and network segmentation.
- Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
- Investigation and resolution of complex security and network issues with minimal supervision.
- Translating technical risks into clear, business‑aligned recommendations.
- Working cross‑functionally with IT, engineering, compliance, and senior stakeholders.
We’re looking for someone who is enthusiastic, responsible, and committed to delivering high‑quality outcomes. You should be comfortable working independently at times, able to manage pressure effectively, and confident in driving forward meaningful change. A positive attitude, strong team ethic, and excellent communication skills are key.
Applicants must have permanent right to work in the UK.
