London, England, GB (Hybrid)1 open job

Global technology consultancy and social enterprise staffing cybersecurity, AI, data, software, QA, and compliance work with autistic and neurodivergent professionals.

auticon is a global technology consultancy and social enterprise founded in Berlin in 2011 by Dirk Müller-Remus, who started the company to create better employment opportunities for his autistic son. The operating model is the part worth understanding: consulting teams are majority autistic, and the firm places them on complex technology problems for client organisations. Cybersecurity is one delivery domain among several - AI, data, software development, quality assurance, data annotation, and governance and compliance - which means security work sits close to the systems and data pipelines it defends rather than in a separate audit function.

Scale is documented: more than 300 client organisations served across 13 countries, with presence in Europe, North America, and Australia, working mainly in the technology and professional services sectors. The company frames neurodiversity as a working advantage - it argues that different ways of thinking produce more precise and rigorous technical outcomes - and its stated mission is employment equality for neurodivergent adults. For security roles, that translates into a team composition most employers don't offer, working on a mix of defensive, engineering, and compliance-adjacent problems.

The consultancy services line is complemented by separate offerings: neuroinclusion advisory, training and maturity assessments, eLearning, and coaching for neurodivergent individuals and the organisations around them. Prospective candidates should expect a delivery-heavy consulting environment - client engagements, cross-domain work, and support structures built around neurodivergent employees rather than adapted from a standard template.
