Job Description
AV is looking for a highly talented Senior Cyber Security Engineer to join our team! In this role you will provide support to Missile Defense Agency (MDA) System Security Engineering Directorate (MDA/CEY) in the development of system-level cybersecurity requirements, anti-tamper solutions, and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process to produce System-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office subsystem engineering.
Job Description:
Provide senior-level support developing cyber developmental test and evaluation (DT&E) approaches.
Evaluate cybersecurity DT&E results and identify cybersecurity-related risks to Missile Defense System programs.
Integrate cyber requirements into system designs and into various cyber development and testing events to include cyber tabletop and intelligence exercises.
Support the evaluation and effectiveness of cyber capabilities to defend the fielded MDS against cyberspace attack.
Required:
Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) field.
12+ years of related DoD experience.
Active top-secret clearance, or the ability to quickly qualify for one.
Experience in deriving system requirements based on operational need.
Knowledge of and experience in test planning/execution, and in evaluation/analysis of resulting test data.
Experience with blue and red team testing techniques and their application to both tabletop exercises and DT&E.
Experience in characterizing system-level risks, and in developing associated recommendations for senior leadership.
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate technical information to senior MDA leaders.
Desired:
Previous MDA experience, particularly MDA systems engineering.
Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes.
Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals.
Knowledge of Software Assurance and Zero Trust policy application in systems engineering.
Knowledge of joint targeting process and its application to potential adversarial activity in operational cyberspace.
Experience with applying cybersecurity, cyber resilience, and cyber survivability policy/guidance to system requirement development, system test planning, and system evaluation.
Experience translating cyber threat intelligence and operational risks into testable, system-level cybersecurity requirements for warfighting or mission-critical systems.
Experience with development and/or review of system architectures, safety hazards, and failure analysis documentation.
Experience with development and/or review of model-based system engineering models.
Knowledge of system security engineering principles, such as anti-tamper, supply chain risk evaluation, and program protection, and their interaction with cybersecurity implementations.
Experience with development and manipulation of artificial intelligence/machine learning tools, and with applying those tools to systems engineering processes.
