AEG Worldwide

Los Angeles, California, US (On-site)1 open job

AEG Worldwide operates 300+ venues, promotes 10,000+ shows a year, and runs a ticketing platform serving over 160 million guests annually across five continents.

AEG Worldwide runs the infrastructure behind sports and live entertainment at a scale few companies touch: more than 300 venues, over 22,000 events a year, and 160 million-plus guests passing through its operations annually across five continents. Founded in 2000 and headquartered in Los Angeles, the company spans venue management (AEG Facilities), live music promotion (AEG Presents, which books more than 10,000 shows a year), sports franchises (AEG Sports), entertainment district development (AEG Real Estate), sponsorship sales and servicing (AEG Global Partnerships), and its own premier ticketing platform.

For security work, the interesting part is the attack surface. A consumer-facing ticketing platform is the classic target set: payment and identity data at volume, high-demand onsales that attract bots and scalpers, and resale fraud aimed at fans who just want through the door. Layered on top that: venue networks across 300-plus facilities, each with point-of-sale systems, access control, digital signage, and operational technology that rarely arrives hardened. Then there's the live-event layer itself - credentialing for artists, staff, and VIPs, and sponsorship data that's commercially sensitive to partners paying for naming rights and premium seating.

The footprint complicates everything. Operations spanning five continents mean different data protection regimes, different network providers, and event windows that don't pause for patch cycles. When you present more than 22,000 events a year, the security posture has to hold during the exact moments fans, revenue, and reputational exposure all peak simultaneously - the onsale, the sold-out Saturday, the packed arena.
